Once Upon the Realms
A small town south and east of Candlekeep on the Coast Way, Beregost comprises about forty central buildings and several larger estates. A large temple dedicated to Lathander dominates the town itself. The town is a trading center and a jumping-off point for expeditions into the southern kingdoms of Amn, Tethyr, and Calimshan.
Within reach of the northern borders of Amn, merchants from that land often use it as a rendezvous for caravan assembly before attempting runs north to Waterdeep or east to the Sea of Fallen Stars. As a result, the town gets very crowded at unpredictable intervals.
It is the home to several famous people, such as the smith Taerom Fuiruim, called the Thunderhammer, the wizard Thalantyr, and the high priest and mayor, Kelddath Ormlyr.
